💡 Why does kombucha contain sugar? The added raw cane sugar is needed for the fermentation. Microorganisms, such as yeast and bacteria cultures, need sugar as a food source. They then metabolize it into important nutrients and organic acids, for example. At the end of the fermentation process, only 3g of sugar per 100ml remain. That is up to 50% less sugar than other kombucha producers. Despite this, our taste is unmatched!

Our kombucha is so fresh and naturally unpasteurized that it needs to be kept refrigerated between 4°C and 7°C. It also likes it dry and dark. So go ahead and clear some space in your fridge or cool cellar.

🗓 Shelf life
We always ship only our latest bottlings. During delivery, our Kombucha will keep for at least 3-6 months. This gives you more than enough time to enjoy your Kombucha in peace.

Our Kombucha may contain small amounts of alcohol (0.5%) due to the natural fermentation process. Therefore we cannot recommend it for children or pregnant women.

Social commitment has been a part of our lives since day one. Together with Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. we build drinking water and sanitary facilities at a school in South Africa. We also bottle our kombucha in a workshop for disabled people and actively promote inclusion. To protect the environment, we use environmentally friendly reusable glass bottles and are climate-positive as a company.
