Healthy skin and hair - kombucha as a beauty elixir

The fermented tea drink as a beauty booster

Many only know Kombucha as a tea drink, which strengthens and refreshes the body from the inside. Renowned cosmetics companies have long been using the tea fungus in face masks, facials and toners. They value it for its bacterial cellulose. Here you will find interesting uses of kombucha!

Face Mask - Let your complexion shine with kombucha

The face mask can help balance the pH of the skin while killing possible bacteria that lead to pimples and other breakouts. Especially on cold days you should take special care of your skin.

You need this for 2 applications:

How to do it:

First, the scoby and half of the kombucha are chopped up in a blender. Then you can slowly add the coconut oil and mix everything into a creamy mass. Before the face mask can be applied, we recommend cleaning the face thoroughly with water. Now the mask can be applied evenly to the face. After an exposure time of approx. 10 to 20 minutes, you can carefully rinse off the mask and then pat your face dry.

Danger! Be careful not to get the mask in your eyes as it could sting.

Soothing body lotion with kombucha

Who hasn't this happened to? Too long in the sun and your skin is super dry and stressed! With this lotion you can take care of your body and easily provide it with moisture and nutrients on cold days. The many organic acids contained in Kombucha, such as gluconic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid and other organic acids can help with cell regeneration in your skin.

What you need for 1 bottle of lotion:

How to do it:

It is best to get a small glass bottle that holds 100 ml and mix the jojoba oil with the kombucha by shaking it vigorously. Then you can pamper your skin with the resulting mixture and massage in the lotion.

Tip:

In addition to jojoba oil, you can also mix Greek yoghurt or organic low-fat quark with Kombucha and the pureed Scoby. Add some cold-pressed olive oil and your moisture booster is ready!
